surfing sub cult

The unsubcultured guide to becoming a surf poser.

Score the latest, hottest, trendiest rashguards and boardshorts.

Buy lots of surf brand stickers and put them everywhere on your S.U.V.

Even if you're just starting or haven't tried surfing yet, buy a shortboard and not a longboard.

Learn this hand sign and do it every time you pose for a picture.

Hang out on the beach with your board, and have your picture taken.
It helps if you use that surfer hand signal. Just like this duuude...

Carry your board around the beach... just bring it anywhere you go.

When drinking on the shoreline, bring a music player and play booming reggae music.

Enhance your vocab by incorporating these phrases:
"the swell is coming in Thursday..."
or "I think the wave is closing out..."
or "Did you see me barrel?"
You don't have to know the meaning... just say it.

Now, you're on way to way to becoming a full pledged poser, brah.
Remember, you heard it first from a full-pledged "unsurfer" like me.
