He popularized the zombie movie starting with Night of the Living Dead in '68.
Nowadays he' still at it with films like Survival of the Dead and Diary of the Dead.
That's around 40+ years of "doing" the undead.
Maybe he died in the 80s or 90s and turned into a zombie.
