I love this post by my disc and Facebook friend so I'm re-posting it here....

Mind you kare-kare lovers, real kare kare is not served sauce on top. what the heck is that. real kare is cooked altogether, and served altogether in one pot. really, there's so many pretentious filipino restaurants out there. you dont need to innovate filipino food or worse, play with it and charge us with sky high prices. we're not like french cuisine. just show it as it is and we decide for ourselves.
