The idea of Groundhog Day was as alien to me as the game of cricket and celebrating Thanksgiving... that is until I saw the movie GROUNDHOG DAY [keeping with the spirit of the story, I have watched the movie x number of times. Andie McDowell is really hot].
Now it get's closer to my world as I see two Pinoy facebook friends write about it on their status message.
One friend goes: "Famous Groundhog predicts an early spring - Deo Gratias!!!"
Another one says: "Snow day again! Groundhog day! Punxatawney Phil did NOT see his shadow & predicts an early spring! I hope he is right.....take all this ice and snow away already....."
It's so un-Pinoy but wow, they really do care about the Groundhog's predictions.
