Salamat at allergic ako sa Ibuprofen. Bakit?
A few years ago, I took a tablet with Ibuprofen dahil may headache ako. In a few minutes/or maybe hours, nagka-allergic reaction ako. Lumaki ng lumaki yung bulge sa "eyebags" ko na nagmukha na akong Chicano boxer na inupakan ni Pakyaw.
So, panic time... nagpahatid ako sa driver ng sister ko sa E.R. The attending doc injected me with Benadryl DM to stop the allergic reaction.
What follows was a few solid minutes/or maybe an hour of pure bliss. Naka-higa lang ako sa isang kama sa ER having the best TAMA of my life.
Talo lahat --- alcohol, chongk, etc!!! Para akong nasa heaven at nakahiga sa clouds. Tipong ganun yung dating. Asteeg talaga.

When I was a kid, I watched a lot of Cowboys vs. Indians movies. Naturally, I was brainwashed to thinking that the Native Americans were evil and mean and they were the enemy.
Then I grew up and unlearned everything the Hollywood propaganda machine taught me. The Native Americans weren't the enemy, it was the other way around. In fact, Pale Face brought their brand of violence to the P.I. as they "benevolently assimilated" the early Pinoys.
Today, the cowboys of the USA are still at it and they've got new "Indians" to pick on... the Afghans, the Iraqis, and the invisible Al Qaeda army.
And I'm still here, hopelessly lapping up more Hollywood propaganda.

Frank Sinatra's "My Way" has been banned from many bars across the Philippines after at least six people were killed in the last decade while performing karaoke renditions of the song.

The so-called "My Way killings" have led to many bars in the karaoke-obsessed country removing the song from their playlists amid fears of violence.
Bar owners believe the number of deaths could be fuelled by what some perceive as "arrogance" in the lyrics of the song.
It is one of the most popular karaoke tunes in the Philippines which also has a more than one million illegally carried guns.
Most of the killings are reported to have happened after the singer sang out of tune and crowds jeered.
In one fatal case Romy Baligula, 29, was shot dead in the city of San Mateo in 2007. He was halfway through My Way when a security guard shouted that he was out of tune. He carried on regardless and the guard shot him in the chest with a revolver.
Karaoke killings have been recorded elsewhere in Asia. In Thailand two years ago a man shot dead eight of his neighbours after becoming enraged when they repeatedly sang John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads.
In 2008 Abdul Sani Doli hogged the microphone for so long in Sandakan, Borneo that listeners stabbed him to death.
Rodolfo Gregorio, 63, a karaoke singer in the Philippine city of General Santos, said: "The trouble with My Way is that everyone knows it and everyone has an opinion. You can get killed."
[As for me, I can sing any song I choose and still can get killed. Yeah, I can't carry a tune.]

Sometimes life isn't hard.
Sometimes you get expensive stuff for a price of a song...
or in my case, a small bag of [censored].
[1] A friend tells me that he bought a PS3... which means his Xbox will just be condo decor
[2] I propose to buy it, knowing full well he'll give me a discount or a reasonable price

Here's the thing though. I only play one game. NBA 2k10, nothing else. Can't understand how to kill Zombies in Left for Dead. I'm really RPG illiterate that way. I don't even know how to kick off in Madden.
So I'm stuck with basketball. And I even play the easiest level.

How I caught my first wave as a sponger... That was years ago. Friday. Nag-absent kami sa office ni Ter at pumunta sa "once known as a secret spot hahaha" Pundaquit. Wala pa nga akong fins nun eh. At diko maalala kung kanino ko nahiram board ko. Weather was gloomy kasi may padating o may pa-alis na bagyo. Kaming dalawa lang sa line-up. Wala si Vikoy at wala yung mga Barretto boys. Pero tangena ang laki ng alon natakot ako. So si Tengco pa pina-una ko.Ginawang guinea pig hehe. Anyway, nawala na rin takot ko after a while at lumusong na. Ayun sa sobrang lakas ng alon, kinuha ako kahit walang fins. Parang rollercoaster na pababa ang dating. Drop lang yun dahil shore na ang bagsak. Ayan, stoked for life.
Next day, dumating na ang mga ibang boogie boys - sila Kuya Cis at Warren. Natulog kami dun sa Capones beach resort [everytime may tatawag sa phone --- sasagot ang baklang manager ng "Hello Capones Hello."]. Anyway, inuman kami hanggang sarado na yung Capones kitchen. Eh bitin pa sa inuman. Nag-debate kami kung sino manggigising sa "resort" staff. Nagkakahiyaan pa. Nasa labas lang kami ng pintuan pero inisip pa namin kung kakatok kami at manggigising. Sabi ni Ter, something like "Gab, ikaw na... isang duck-dive nalang yan, andun ka na" Bwahahahahaha. Di ko maalala kung na-accomplish ko mission ko.
