IMHO, the hippie generation did not end in the 70s. The movement continued with hippie Steve Jobs who counter-culturally changed the world with the way he did tech. 

"In a book interview, Jobs called his experience with LSD "one of the two or three most important things I have done in my life." As Jobs himself has suggested, LSD may have contributed to the "think different" approach that still puts Apple's designs a head above the competition."

But now that Steve is in the ICloud, I guess, the spirit of "hippieness" has died with him.

what I did on the day steve jobs died...

...learned about "the bad news" while fiddling through my IPAD.

...brought my mom to her friend's house in Greenhills [she was going to ride with them to Baguio].

...listened to my IPOD.

...got my clothes from the laundry.

...bought coffee, hotdogs and a banana at 7/11.

...surfed the net for Steve Jobs news.

...worked.

...had lunch at Causeway. Ate chicken and siomai.

...worked, surfed, wrote copy.

...attended a meeting.

...ate merienda [salad, hotdog].

...watched TV Patrol.

...window-shopped at the Powerplant Mall.

...had dinner and drinks with my HS classmates.

...drove home drunk.

...surfed the net with my MACBOOK PRO. 

...slept.

the day after was as happy as the day itself...

I am really having an awesome time surfing the net, reading ebooks and browsing through magazine pdf files with my fingas on the IPAD touch screen.

I am really having a great time fidgeting with my very easy/fun to use MACBOOK PRO.

But the really priceless moments were the ones with the littlest Apple machine/gadget I own... the IPOD.

• It's those times when I hear a great great song on the radio or through a friend's Facebook post, immediately search for it, and put it in your Ipod playlist....

• It's those times when you're on a road trip and you believe in the saying "getting there is half the fun" all because of the music the Ipod can carry...

• It's those times when you play the song and your friend tells you... "I love that song" or "That's beautiful... who sang that song?"

• It's those times you have an impromptu party at a friend's crib and you have nothing else but beer, stories and Ipod music to make the time fly so fast.

Thank you for all that PARENG ISTIB JOBS! R.I.P in the Icloud.

I wasn't supposed to watch game 2 of the UAAP finals live... BUT... my cousin's daughter couldn't make it... so the golden ticket was mine. The game was at 3pm but I was up at 8am. Couldn't sleep. My guts felt that I'd be smiling at the end of the day. You should always trust your guts.

More tradition. After the last game of  the season, the Blue Eagle sub cult goes to the Church of the Gesu to have a thanksgiving mass [aside from Christmas eve, it's the only time I hear mass during the year]. And as per tradition, win or lose, the graduating players make their goodbye speeches... followed by the coach's speech and MVPangilinan's speech. I've been doing this for several years already... yes even at the time we lost to UST in 06.

But for the past four years... it has all been sweet victories. And I want more.
