Last night read a long status message on fb. A contact announced how he was able to feed a hungry old woman. Of course a flood of "you're such an awesome person" comments came pouring in.
My point is this:
When you do something good like feed a hungry person, you don’t have to broadcast it out loud. It’s like saying I am a great person, worship my damn goodness. It’s just not fucking sincere. It reeks of egocentric-ness. That makes you like a politician who does charity work because it's good P.R.
Humility, dude, is the answer. When you do good, do it quietly.
